Key Responsibilities

  • Crane Operation: Safely operate articulated cable crane trucks to transport materials.
  • Inspection and Compliance: Conduct thorough inspections of the loaded truck to ensure accuracy and compliance with weight restrictions.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and submit them to the Fleet Office.
  • Loading and Unloading: Efficiently load and unload materials at residential and commercial job sites.
  • Safety: Adhere to safety policies and procedures while loading, traveling, and working on job sites.
  • Trip Planning: Utilize GPS, atlases, and other resources for trip planning.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily inspections and maintain the truck's condition, including tires, lights, and brakes.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensing: Hold a valid 3A or 1A driver’s license.
  • Crane Certification: Possess a valid crane certificate for cranes up to 20 tons.
  • Additional Certifications: Forklift Operator and/or Fall Arrest certifications are advantageous.
  • Driving Skills: Ability to drive both manual and automatic trucks.
  • Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Physical Ability: Capable of regularly lifting up to 75 lbs.
