Job Responsibilities
Machinery Operation
- Equipment Handling: Operate various types of farm machinery, including tractors, combines, and plows. Ensure efficient and safe operation.
- Calibration and Setup: Set up and calibrate machinery for different farming tasks. Perform pre-operation checks for optimal performance.
Maintenance
- Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance on equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Keep maintenance records.
- Repairs: Address minor mechanical issues and coordinate major repairs with service providers.
Field Management
- Support Activities: Assist with soil preparation, planting, and harvesting. Ensure efficient machinery use and follow instructions accurately.
- Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety procedures for machinery operation and chemical handling. Report safety concerns to management.
Qualifications
- Education: Certification or experience in agricultural equipment operation required.
- Experience: Experience with large-scale farming equipment and mechanical skills preferred.
- Skills: Ability to work independently, strong attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.
Work Environment
